AKTU: Ten Thousands more seats will be added for AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science, and the number of affiliated institutions will also increase. For AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science, the number of seats will increase in 85 institutions, and new branches will be opened. Moreover, the number of affiliated institutions will also exceed 770.
In the meeting of the affiliation committee chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. J.P. Pandey, approval has been given to it. The committee has given its approval based on the examination of applications for increasing seats, seat reduction, and opening new branches in 90 institutions, as well as on the basis of the site inspection report.

Prof. Pandey mentioned that several institutions proposed to start courses in subjects such as AI, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Data Science, in line with current needs. After necessary evaluations, they have been granted approval. Some colleges have initiated new branches, while others have obtained permission to start programs related to emerging areas (future technologies) in place of old branches.
This will increase the number of affiliated institutions in the state to more than 770 in the upcoming academic year. The university has already released the schedule for admission counseling.
